Canada is a centre of excellence for whisky production.

It's well-known that Canada is a leading global producer of whisky.

Gathering together experts to reflect our place in the global industry is thus long overdue. In October 2023, the inaugural Canada Whisky Symposium brought together members of Canada’s whisky community and guest speakers from across North America; there were inspired discussions about the craft of whisky making, techniques and best practices were shared, we celebrated as a community.

Building on this success, we’re working on the 2nd Canada Whisky Symposium, taking place February 26, 2025 in Calgary, Alberta—a conference for whisky-makers, suppliers, and supporters, including distilleries of all sizes and production styles.

We’ll be looking to continue building out this program as a Canadian forum for the global whisky community—to reinforce and build on Canada's place as a centre of excellence for whisky production.
