Thankfully, consuming the amber beverage requires no such expertise….but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some science involved there as well.

That’s because not all whisky glasses are created equal, suggests consumer lifestyle writer Laurence Shanet. In this 2019 article for Inverse, Shanet puts 8 different types of drinking vessels to the test to see which glassware brings out the best of whisky—from blended to single malt, on the rocks to neat.
